Step one, purchasing!

So i'll give you a bit of a introduction, Virgil is a young guy living in deepest, darkest Warwickshire.
He is a bicycle fanatic and will choose to ride as far away as possible just for being a bit bored, however a number of years ago Virgil met a very lovely lady and is now needing a mode of transport that means he doesn't arrive at his beloved's wearing just lycra and sweating and smelling.

So this has led me to buy a motorcycle, I had been thinking about purchasing a suzuki intruder vl125, in a good 2nd hand condition these usually go for somewhere in the region of £1500, and one evening I had a bit of a google and a found the "Huonaio HN125-8" on ebay, it's a chinese copy of the very popular Honda CM125, for a bargain £699+ £85 delivery with a full year warranty and a lock!

Well today is the 18th of February and I have just finished a conversation with Dave from "learnerlegal.com" who has taken payment for my bike which I will be taking delivery for on Thursday the 24th.

So in the mean time, I've got my haynes manual to read, some clothing and a helmet to buy, oh and:
2x parents, 1x best friend, 1x boss and several extended family members to convince for when it arrives!

I'll be updating this blog with as much of a story as i can make from a cheap bike purchase and hopefully a few photos.

  1. Welcome to the adventure. Just a note, the HN125-8 is a copy of the Honda CM125 Custom, although the engine (157FMI2) is indeed a CG125 copy.
