I had some tea, found my Haynes manual and readied myself at the front door.
The bike itself was on a shipping pallet wrapped with approximately 1 metric tonne of plastic wrap.
Once the delivery driver and I had tackled the wrapping we got it off the truck and down towards the driveway.
Now I will point out one or two things to bear in mind at this point:
1. I weigh 57kg, the bike weighs 100kg so I'm already a little handicapped when moving it around.
2. For the last two years I have been racing road bicycles and this season my race bike weighs just 7kg, so I'm used to picking up a bike with one hand, popping it on my shoulder and replacing it where needed.
What a shock I had when trying to move it on my own!
After about 20 minutes of pushing, pulling and multiple-point turns I managed to get it into the backyard where it will be staying until I get onto rampdale to insure it.

The cbt is up next and is exactly 2 weeks today so I have 2 weeks to:
1. Tax it
2. Register it
3. Buy a pretty tax disc holder
4. Sort out the side stand switch problem
5. Pop the rivets off the exhaust and drill the holes out to 1/2 inch
So there we have it.
I own a motorcycle, pretty cool right?
